Georgia also felt the storm’s wrath. In rural areas, crops were destroyed, which hurt many farmers and their families. Cities like Savannah saw streets turn into rivers as heavy rain flooded neighborhoods.

Augusta, Georgia, wasn’t spared from Helene’s fury. Streets were littered with broken branches, fallen trees, and debris from damaged buildings. Many businesses had to close their doors temporarily because of the storm.
