Further examination of weather-related factors revealed that cloudy conditions were the most prevalent, followed by rain. While severe weather conditions such as major thunderstorms and tornadoes resulted in approximately 30 crashes, it is crucial to note that 14 incidents occurred during snowfall, and three during sleet, serving as a stark reminder that adverse weather conditions demand heightened caution on the roads.

Furthermore, over 400 crashes took place on wet surfaces, highlighting the need for drivers to adjust their driving behaviors accordingly. Additionally, six instances involved muddy roads, while five crashes occurred due to oil on the surface. Remarkably, one crash even took place on a snowy road, illustrating the diverse range of surface conditions that can pose risks.
