How much time do I have to file a Federal Tort Claim in Georgia?
Under federal law, a person has two years to file a federal tort claim with the federal government. A lawsuit cannot be filed before a Federal Tort Claims Act form is filed; the federal government then has a chance to respond to try to settle the case before a lawsuit is filed.
